Gray Trilogy
(Books 1-3)
Always up for adventure, Nick Callahan joins a smuggling run to Paris, France; but things go terribly wrong when his group is slaughtered by werewolves in a brutal double-cross. Nick learns that the man who hired him is the same man who sent the wolves to kill him: Dorian Gray. Nick vows to avenge the slaughter on his dying breath, and gets the chance when his life is saved by a mystifying girl named Marcia Kenway.
Marcia seems innocent enough, but she is wanted by the police for the murder of her own father. She claims to have no memory of the murder, and Nick cannot bring himself to turn in the woman who saved his life – guilty or not. He finds himself now hiding from the police and from Gray. Badgered by street-thugs and hounded by an indomitable police inspector, Nick and Marcia work to untangle the complex web of intrigue before Dorian Gray traps them once and for all. To succeed, they must learn to accept help from the most unlikely places and find Gray before Gray finds them.
Nick and Marcia have fled the clutches of Gray's deadly circus, but their escape comes with a price: Gray is still on the loose. As Nick's friends grapple with the chaos left behind in Paris, Nick and Marcia form a tenuous truce with Gray's unpredictable double—the only one who knows Gray's whereabouts.

The two vampires are mirror images, linked by a dark, inexplicable bond. The fugitive Dorian Gray is a mastermind of cruelty, while his doppelgänger teeters on the brink of madness. Driven by a volatile mix of vengeance and instability, Gray's deranged double is both ally and threat.

To prevent Gray from vanishing forever, Nick and Marcia must navigate the treacherous waters of trust with a vampire who could betray them at any moment. Can they outwit a cunning adversary and survive the dangers posed by an unstable ally, or will Gray escape for good?

The strange connection between Dorian and his counterpart has been severed, Marcia has disappeared, and Nick is forced to contend with Dorian's madness and search for Gray on his own – or so he thinks. With their psychic connection severed, Dorian can no longer sense his duplicate's location, and with Marcia gone, Nick is on the brink of giving up. Yet, he finds help in the form of a secret society designed specifically to hunt and kill monsters like Dorian Gray. With this army at his back, Gray has nowhere else to run, but Nick still has doubts as to the society's true intentions.
Meanwhile, in Paris, Jean Fournier faces his own dilemma as his attempts to stop Gray's spy throw Paris into upheaval. Facing a riot, Fournier must choose between his love for the rule of law and his love for his city, and the wrong choice could turn an already deadly riot into a bloody revolution.
Whether in the angry streets of Paris or the dark mines of Aberfoyle, it is time to pick a side, once and for all.
Blue Trilogy
(Books 4-6)

With the Sinister threat of Dorian Gray finally over, Nick and Marcia turn their focus on an even more difficult task: finding a cure for the thirst of the vampire. Gray may be gone, but there are others like him—some ruled by their thirst for blood, and some who still battle against it.

There is only one scientist with the knowledge to solve this inscrutable disease: Abraham Van Helsing, but as tensions rise, doubts begin to creep in, and Marcia begins to fear that Van Helsing may not be who he claims. Can she trust his dark science to find a cure she so desperately needs?

The truth is never so simple, and as secrets come to light, our heroes must decide once and for all who they can trust—and who they cannot.

The worst has happened; Nick has been captured by Moreau. With Nick in the hands of the deranged doctor responsible for the mad vampire, Dorian Gray, Nick's friends find themselves in a mad scramble to rescue him. Without any clue as to Dr. Moreau's intended destination, they must scour London in search of not only clues, but allies. Moreau intends to use Nick's blood to create an army of even worse monsters than he has created before, and time is not on their side.

Knowing they will be vastly outnumbered, and that every moment lost means more time for Moreau to craft his unholy creatures, Marcia, Reginald, and Susie are desperate to find Nick and raise an army that will help them get him back—no matter how dangerous that army may be.

With five books already written, but only two published, Paul Campbell is publishing novels as fast as he can afford to do so. Although the title for Blue Blazes is known, this book is not yet written. As the deadline looms closer and book reviews for both Grayscale and The Doomed Disciple still linger far below the original hoped-for number, will Paul ever get Blue Blazes published at all, or will The Callahan Chronicles be lost forever?
